North Riding Brewery's first beer was brewed in March 2015 after several months of planning and preparation. We are based at Unit 9 Betton Business Park, East Ayton which is on the outskirts of Scarborough in the Derwent Valley.
A tranquil setting where our beer is brewed on a weekly basis from our 10 barrel plant. We aim to produce modern ales which are traditionally brewed from the finest ingredients.
There are 4 core beers brewed on a regular basis as well as monthly specials.
Our Core Beers
Cascade Pale Ale : 4%
U.S. hopped pale ale using one of the first American hops to grace our shores, often neglected now due to newer varieties, we love this hop and the unique citrus qualities it puts into beer.
Mosaic Pale Ale : 4.3%
Mosaic hops are full of blueberry and citrus flavours and seriously pack a powerful punch. This is one juicy banger of a pale ale!
Citra Pale Ale : 4.5%
Citrus in a glass, the hop that keeps on delivering. Easy drinking premium pale ale with a grapefruit and lemon taste and aroma.
US Session IPA: 3.8%
Version 22 of our US Session IPA using Chinook, Comet and Mosaic. These hops give a pine, tropical fruit and citrus fruit aroma and flavour.
Simcoe Pale Ale has flavours of grapefruit, passionfruit and pine in the taste and aroma.
Rum & Raisin Dark Mild 4.3%
Dark mild with a twist. Raisins are soaked in rum for 7 days prior to brewday and then added right at the end of the boil. One of my favourite ice cream flavours so why not make a beer the same?
Huell Melon 4%
Bred at the Hop Research Institute in Hüll, this hop variety has bold flavours and is not necessarily associated with typical hop variety aromas, which include distinctive honeydew melon and strawberry.
Stuart Neilson has been brewing successfully for the past four years at the North Riding Brewpub where many award winning beers have been brewed and enjoyed.
